Dr. Becky Henderson is originally from Long Island, NY. She attended the University of Connecticut where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. While attending UConn she participated in several organizations and clubs which earned her the University’s most distinguished leadership award in 2006. In 2007, Dr. Henderson moved to the Caribbean (St. Kitts) to begin her veterinary education at Ross University after finishing her seventh semester on the island she spent twelve weeks in Atlanta, Georgia at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for her externship for epidemiology and completed her clinical year at the University of Missouri
In her free time, Dr. Henderson enjoys being outdoors hiking and discovering new trails through the Hudson Valley. Her bucket list includes visiting every national park, UNESCO sites, and all fifty states. She also enjoys volunteering, cooking/baking, obstacle course racing, photography, spending quality time with her boyfriend, Anthony, their cat (Zelda) and dogs (Penny and Evie).
Dr. Henderson is an active member in the Hudson Valley Veterinary Medical Society serving as their small animal continuing education (CE) chair. A member of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, and American Veterinary Medical Association. Her veterinary interests include behavior, dentistry, anesthesia and fostering the human/animal bond. She is currently pursuing her certification for Canine Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy and is interested in Fear Free certification.
