Dr Abi attained a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from University of Rochester before completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. While in vet school, Dr Abi was an active member of the equine team, working in the Hospital for Large Animals and participating in AAEP sponsored events. She also developed a strong interest in anesthesia and pain management, leaving with the award for clinical excellence in anesthesia. She has spent the last several years living abroad in her home country of England working for an animal welfare charity specializing in donkeys and working equids.
Dr Abi is thrilled to join the team at Catskill Veterinary Services, and brings with her a strong interest in equine medicine and welfare, goat herd health, reptile medicine, neurology, and ophthalmology. She is happy to see a wide variety of species, including horses, cats, dogs, exotics, and livestock.
When not at work, Dr Abi enjoys hiking with her spaniel, Remington, followed by cuddles on the couch with her cat, Phineas. She is very much looking forward to experiencing everything the Hudson Valley has to offer.
